© Metadot Corporation

There are two major versions of Metadot - 6 and 7. These versions are very different. Here are some differences:

  1. M6 is written in Perl, while M7 is written in Ruby on Rails.
  2. M7 is created from scratch, and although it is using many of the conceptions of M6, it is incompatible with it.
  3. M7 database is completely different than M6 database.
  4. M7 is using newest web technologies (like ajax, friendly urls) allowing better experience for the end user.
  5. M7 theme system is not compatible with M6 skin system.
  6. M7 has less gizmo types and configuration options than M6.
